I have specialties in Clinical Hypnosis, EMDR (Level II trained), and Cognitive Behavioral Techniques. I use a relatively unique combination of Hypnosis and EMDR to more rapidly access and resolve trauma than is typical through traditional psychotherapy techniques. Smoking Cessation: informal follow-up with former clients reveals 70-75 percent remained non-smokers up to 6 months after conclusion of our work together.
“Clinical hypnosis can be a very effective tool for helping people make important changes in their lives,” says Springs psychologist Gary Neuger, Ph.D. Dr. Neuger should know – he has been helping Front Range residents through the use of clinical hypnosis for the last 28 years. “The reason I use it is because it works, and I like doing things that work.”
Dr. Neuger reports, “I use hypnotherapy to help people with a wide range of mental, emotional, and physical difficulties because hypnosis allows us greater access to the power of the unconscious mind.” According to Neuger, “the unconscious is a tremendous reservoir of knowledge, strength, energy, and abilities that we rarely tap into on a conscious basis and through hypnosis, we can access the unconscious and have a positive impact on what we experience in our mind and body.”
Dr. Neuger uses hypnosis to help people with various problems including: anxiety, fear, stress, and tension; depression; relationship difficulties; resolving traumatic experiences; athletes who want to improve their performance; habits such as smoking, weight loss, nail biting, and hair pulling; and pain. In fact, he helps patients with various types of pain including pain from accidents, injuries, childbirth, medical/surgical, and dental procedures, headaches, as well as pain associated with cancer, RSD, TMJ, fibromyalgia, and burns.
